Owner of Shockwaves and lead instructor, Bryce Gartner is a certified Premergency, Sirius Medx and Canadian Red Cross instructor. Also, Bryce is a Paddle Canada Basic Sea Kayak instructor and Canadian Association of Snow Board Insructors Basic Instructor. With over a decade in emgergency services and over 20 years in health care, Bryce has a world of experience to draw from.
As a Paramedic for over 25 years and a Corporate First Aid and CPR instructor, Stephen ensures that programs include true first hand experience. His personal passion for the outdoors and in particular the rugged wilderness of Northern Ontario will add to your learning experience. Stephen currently works as EMS Dispatch Supervisor in North Bay.
Bobbie is an avid snow boarder and instructor and spends winters as program coordinator at the local ski hill. She is also a registered school teacher and yoga/fitness coach. Bobbie guides kayak day trips for Shockwaves and loves spending time outdoors with her dog Frazier!
Paddle Canada Certified and enjoys kayaking in all sorts of weather.....and temperatures! Kevin works full time in the airline industry and has traveled around the world, quite literally. When not paddling, Kevin enjoys camping with his family around Ontario parks.
Brad is certified Level II with Paddle Canada with instructor endorsement as well as a CPR/First Aid Instructor with Premergency. He has years of experience paddling the waterways around North Bay. He is also a Master Bike Mechanic and works with the local mountain bike association building and maintaining trails in the area.
Ryan works full time with the municipality and is a volunteer fire fighter. He enjoys spending time at his cottage near Huntsville and is a certified CPR/First Aid Instructor with Premergency.
Martha has many years of experience as an emergency room nurse and is recently retired. She is a certified CPR/First Aid Instructor with Premergency and loves spending time with her new grandbaby.
