This 2 hour kayak adventure is typically held on Lake Nipissing. We paddle out from Sunset Beach to the rock markers and take time to get some amazing photos. Back up location is Dugas Bay on Trout Lake in the event of windy conditions.
Come and explore the Talon Gorge on the Mattawa River. This flat section of the river provides amazing scenes of the cliffs above the water and is family friendly. About 3 hours, this kayak day trip is relatively short and easy.
A Near North Adventure is a slightly longer kayak day trip into one of several areas near North Bay. Depending upon the weather we may explore the South Shore or Jocko Rocks on Lake Nipissing, The Upper Mattawa River or Dugas Bay on Trout Lake. 4-5 hours gives plenty of time to stop and swim or enjoy the sights.
This area of Ontario is truly special and is known for thousands of islands, inlets and passages waiting to be explored. Typical route on this kayak adventure is from Britt out to the near islands, with a back up route on the French/Pickerel River system in the event of strong winds. 4-5 hours gives plenty of time to explore this amazing area of the province. The Temagami area offers a multitude of padding adventures for all levels. The deep clear waters are a pleasure to paddle and the scenery is equally as amazing. Departing from the hub on Lake Temagami, we will get to see some sites, and maybe take a short hike to a special place high above the lake!
We will explore The Ottawa River north of the town of Mattawa. This 6 km stretch of river is slow moving and gentle, but we will approach the Otto Holden Hydro Electric Generating station which make for some great views from water level. The River actually divides Quebec and Ontario, and we will paddle both sides. Two provinces in one trip!

The Pickerel River runs parallel to the French River near Georgian Bay. This section is an easy paddle with plenty of spots to stop and soak in the scenery. With the typical wind swept pines and scoured rock shore, the area certainly has that Georgian Bay feel to it.
This short section of the Mattawa River makes for a great day trip. About 2 hours on the water, this adventure is a great opportunity for anyone to get into nature.The river passes though a narrow gorge with 70 foot cliffs and spectacular scenery.
